As we continue to formulate this idea we would like to welcome suggestions on the best way possible to give feedback to the synopsis and scripts that the teams are will be working on in Dadaab and Kakuma. As it were there is still limitation to access to the internet but am sure we will find a way around this.

If anyone in Kakuma or Dadaab has pictures or anything they would like to post on the blog please feel free to do so.

Kakuma2Dadaab Docufest

Hi Everyone,

It is oti here, after a few months of discussions with all people involved in this endevour both in Perth and in Kenya it is now official: we are setting up a blog to collect synopsis for short documentary films to be written, directed and shot by the PVP clubs in Kakuma and Dadaab camp respectively.

The idea is to create an extra platform for the film makers in Kakuma and Dadaab refugee camps to be able to create stories and then tap into a wider forum of Perth based artist and then with the input of the people from both camps we can select two films which will then recieve mentoring to enable production.

We are anticipating that we will partner with the PVP Clubs which have already been creating films with the great expertise and experience from Film Aid International.

We will be updating the blog shortly with more information as that becomes available.
